Autonomous Sanctions (Designated Persons and Entities and Declared Persons – Democratic People’s Republic of Korea) Amendment (No. 1) Instrument 2026

Commonwealth law

What the video says

This one adds two people and two entities to Australia's sanctions list for North Korea. The Foreign Minister was satisfied each has helped North Korea evade restrictions under UN Security Council Resolution 1718. All four now face targeted financial sanctions: without a permit, it's prohibited to make assets available to them, or to use or deal with assets they own or control. The two people also get a travel ban, to stop them travelling to, entering or remaining in Australia. It starts the day after registration, it's disallowable, and it's exempt from sunsetting, though the regulations it's made under are due to sunset on the 1st of October 2027. Short instrument, long names.

The voiceover, as written in the video’s script.
