What the video says

Why would a blood test centre stay approved for Medicare if hardly anyone goes there?

The Health Insurance Amendment Approved Collection Centres Regulations 2026 start on 4 November.

Medicare generally pays for pathology only if the specimen is collected at an approved centre.

These rules set a floor: two thousand dollars in Medicare benefits over six months.

Fall short, and the centre can be reviewed, and may lose approval.

It applies only to centres approved from 4 November.

The count: two thousand dollars, six months, from 4 November.
